Permanent Hair Removal - How it Can Be Done

1. It is possible to remove hair from almost any area of the body except for the inside of ears, the inside of the nose and sometimes a mole. Side effects include pain, redness and swelling. On some occasions, scabs may appear which could result in scarring or infection. It is possible you may experience some pain during the process, depending on the coarseness of the hair, your tolerance for discomfort and how sensitive the area is from where the hair is being removed. 2. Laser hair removal uses an invisible ray of light and a heat source that penetrates the hair follicle which disables and kills it at the root without affecting the areas around the skin. The best results will occur when doing laser hair removal on people with light skin and dark hair as the laser is attracted by the hair darkness.

Because of this, people with red hair or light blond hair are not great candidates for laser hair removal. Also, people with darker skin not ideally suited for this procedure as well. During the process, the skin has a spray or gel applied to it for cooling so the laser beam does not irritate or harm the surrounding skin. This is not a one and done process. It will take several sessions before the entire process is completed.

3. Waxing has become a more popular option of late due to the lower cost than the above two options and it is more convenient. It also makes possible hair removal from some certain areas of the body.

During the process, a wax combination is thinly applied to the skin. A strip of cloth is placed on top and then ripped away with a quick yank. The end result is a removal of dead skin and hair which leaves the skin feeling smooth. Waxing can cause the skin to sting for a time being so a cream may need to applied after you are finished. Some people's skin will turn red or have bumps which will dissipate after a few hours.

It can be performed on most parts of the body, except for nipples, male genitals, the inside of noses and the inside of ears. The hair will be stay removed from as much as four to eight weeks. Hair that the grows will usually be in a smaller quantity and is generally finer.
